expand What is the NJBEST Program, and who is contacted for information?
The "New Jersey Better Educational Savings Trust" Program is HESAA's "529 Plan", which allows account owners and beneficiaries to qualify for tax benefits. HESAA is responsible for program administration and Franklin Templeton is the investment manager. Benefits include: State and Federal tax exemption; Contribution requirement is a minimum of $25. monthly; and up to a $1,500 college scholarship for attending college in New Jersey.
