Fall 2017 Secondary School Counselor Training Institute Registration


HESAA is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2017 Secondary School Counselor Training Institute and, as always, is FREE. This three hours of financial aid training will include a general session as well as your choice of breakout sessions. This year’s topics will include:

  • Federal and State Aid Updates

  • 2018-19 FAFSA Completion

  • NJFAMS System

Session Descriptions:

  • General Session -- financial aid updates on federal and State aid
  • Back to Basics -- designed to provide secondary school counselors with an overview of how to help their student and parents complete the FAFSA application
  • Case Study Analysis -- real-life financial aid scenarios for secondary school counselors with five or more years of experience
